The Challenge
The Marda Loop BIA wanted to create a pet-friendly photo activation that would stand out at Calgary’s busiest street festival—without getting lost in the crowd. The experience needed to: celebrate the vibrant Mardi Gras theme, deliver strong visibility for a corporate sponsor, encourage donations to their charitable partner, Tails of Help, and above all, keep things fun, engaging, and tail-waggingly cute.
Our Solution
We designed a vibrant, pet-first photo experience built for a high-traffic outdoor setting—with thoughtful details to maximize engagement, branding, and charitable support.
Sturdy outdoor setup:
A 10×10 tent with 30 lb weights on every leg—built to handle the crowd.
Pet-level photo booth:
Lowered booth height and a fluffy doggie cushion for the perfect pup portrait.
Themed décor:
Mardi Gras-colored backdrop, pet costumes, feather boas, and beads.
Custom-branded photo overlays:
Featuring the Mardi Gras logo, sponsor branding, and Tails of Help.
Two sharing stations:
Helped guests move quickly from photo to print, keeping the booth flowing and reducing wait time for pets.

Why It Worked
This booth didn’t just stop foot traffic—it stopped paw traffic.
By creating a joyful, low-barrier moment of connection, Glo Foto helped the Marda Loop BIA bring together business goals, sponsorship value, and community impact—all in one unforgettable activation. The shareable content lived far beyond the festival, and the printed photos found a permanent home on fridges across the city.
